Bela Voda (178m), the center of Serbia, on the southern edge of Šumadija, between branches of Gledić mountains and West Morava, 14km northwest of Kruševac, 20km east of Trstenik, 35km from the highway Belgrade – Niš, 205km south of Belgrade. Considered as the capital of Serbian carving and sculpture, and one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Kruševac region.
Bela Voda has long been famous for good stone, which is in our science known as sandstone from Bela Voda. It turned the inhabitants of this region in the profession and way of living, they have their life for centuries tied to the stone from which they had built a beautiful architectural and artistic heritage. On the use of this stone in a medieval building are speaking mostly medieval monasteries and churches of the Moravian school: Drenča, Naupara, Lepenac, Ravanica, Manasija, Kalenić, Milentija, Veluće …
